Rizal Park spokesman stages art show for Yolanda victims

A publicist who paints is set to stage his first one-man show entitled “Juan HeART, 1 Nation” at the Olives Bar in Adriatico St., Manila on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.

Rizal Park spokesman Kenneth Montegrande stages a benefit art exhibit "Juan HeART, 1 Nation" for the victims of typhoon Yolanda.

This one-man show is for a cause – those affected by typhoon Yolanda. Artist-publicist Kenneth Montegrande is known to have a passion for art, his country and artists who are in need.

The show’s title, “Juan HeART, 1 Nation,” signifies his intention to help his motherland, fellow artists as well as to promote the Philippine tourism.

“He” stands for the Almighty where he gets strength and inspiration; “ART” is the emphasis for his love for the activity while “1 nation” is his aim to promote unity in the country.

Montegrande is the spokesman of the National Parks Development Committee, the agency in charge of maintaining Rizal Park, Paco Park, and Pook ni Mariang Makiling.

For Montegrande, anyone has the capability to help his countrymen; that’s why he is turning over all the proceeds of his show to Yolanda victims.

“We all have responsibility for our mother country and fellowmen. Through this talent given to me by God, I will pay back through offering the proceeds of this show to those who badly need help.

This is my contribution to rebuilding their lives and overcoming a very tough test given by the Almighty,” the artist said.

After this show, Kenneth will have another one-man show at City State Tower Hotel lobby in Ermita, Manila on Jan. 15, 2014. This show is also for a cause and sponsored by D. Edgard Cabangon, one of his avid supporters-friends.
