Flights at NAIA remain normal

Flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Manila Domestic Airports remained normal Friday at the height of protest actions in Makati, the Philippine News Agency reported. Alfonso Cusi, Manila International Airport Authority general manager, said airport authorities are ready for any unlawful interference and any attempts which may jeopardize the airports’ operations. Cusi said no new security measure has been put in place, although the security alert level at NAIA has been heightened. Cusi appealed to the public not to be alarmed by the presence of additional security contingents within the airport. The issuance of passes for visitors has been suspended.
