Man being hunted for raping, maiming carabao in Agusan Sur

Residents of a village in a town in Agusan del Sur province are hunting a man who maimed and raped a Carabao there. Outraged over the wicked act against a helpless animal, residents of Ezperanza town’s Barangay San Toribio are helping the carabao’s caretaker track down the attacker, according to a radio report. The report said the caretaker, Marcos Nisnisan, on Tuesday saw a man with a blood-stained bolo running from where the carabao was located. Later on, Nisnisan discovered that his carabao sprawled on the ground with its four legs hacked, Bombo Radyo report said. Moreover, Nisnisan found a white sticky fluid in the animal’s lacerated genitals. The liquid was later found to be a man’s seamen, Nisnisan was quoted as saying. Some witnesses claimed even seeing the suspect on top of the animal before fleeing, the report said. An initial investigation showed the carabao sustained hack wounds on its four legs, and blood in its genitals. The attacker maimed the animal so that it would be easy for him to molest it, Nisnisan theorized.
