Never too old to tweet: Comelec chairman Brillantes now on Twitter

Guess who's the newest government official to start tweeting? Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr., that's who.

 

Brillantes, 72, posted his first tweet on the account @ChairBrillantes at 9:09am Saturday, where he assured tweeps that his account is real:

The @jabjimenez handle belongs to Comelec spokesman James Arthur Jimenez.

 

As of 5 p.m. Saturday, Brillantes had sent seven tweets, started following 31 Twitter accounts, and haD 221 followers.
