Users of Tumblr may soon do more with their accounts when using Android devices, after the blogging platform overhauled its Android app.
In a blog post, Tumblr said it completely redesigned the interface of its new app for devices running Google's operating system.
"We’ve completely redesigned the interface, added fancy post animations, made images pop, and a whole lot more," it said.
A separate article on Mashable said Tumblr for Android features a new "post anything" screen that lets users share videos, chats, links, quotes, photos and text by clicking on individual icons.
It added the app has "advanced controls" such as saving drafts, queuing posts and customizing tweets.
"The last significant update to its interface was in 2012. Last December, the app began supporting tablets by accommodating larger screens," Mashable noted.
Also, Mashable said Tumblr reached a milestone last March when it announced more than 100 million blogs and 44.6 billion blog posts were created using the platform. — TJD, GMA News
