Twitter improves Vine playback in updated iOS app

Twitter users with Apple mobile devices can now invite friends to join the micro-blogging network from within the app and expect improved playback of Vine videos, with Twitter's updated app for iOS.

A description of the updated Twitter app for iOS, version 5.6, also allows users to "see what’s happening near you or around the world by viewing Trends in hundreds of locations."

Other new features of the updated app include:

Replies to retweeted Tweets now include both the author and person who retweeted the Tweet
A smoother experience due to bug fixes and other improvements.

A separate article on The Next Web said Twitter recently expanded the number of locations serviced by its Trends by more than 160 countries and cities.

The Next Web also said it is not clear when Twitter will similarly update its app for Android. — TJD, GMA News
