Watch this cop unleash his inner Taylor Swift

Haters gonna hate, but this guy totally nails it.

A dashboard camera video featuring a policeman shaking to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" while driving his patrol cruiser is going viral on YouTube.

But the video is perfectly legal—and part of the Dover, Delaware police's efforts to give the community the assurance that police are human too.

"While reviewing in-car cameras, we tend to see some 'interesting' things... We decided to share some of them with you," the Dover police said in a YouTube video.

The video, which runs for four minutes, shows Master Cpl. Jeff Davis shaking to Swift's hit song. It gained over 3 million views in just the three days since it was posted on January 16.

A report on CNN quoted Dover Police Cpl. Mark Hoffman as saying the video aimed to counter negative perceptions of law enforcement.

Hoffman said they are "trying to humanize police officers," since people tend to look at them as robots with uniforms and gun belts.

It added the video is part of a series called "Dash Cam Confessionals."

The CNN report said Davis is familiar with the song because his daughter, 10, is a Taylor Swift fan.

"It was fun thing, a nice thing to do with everything that's going on with police. With all the negative publicity it's nice to show a positive side of police," he said.

But in reality, the report said the video was shot in two takes in a secluded parking lot in Dover. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
