Bar topnotchers Karen Mae Calam and Anne Momongan on Wednesday erupted in joy as the 2016 Bar Results were announced.
Calam and Momongan were at the SGV & Co office when the news broke and were photographed by office mate Kristelle Lopez in a tight, celebratory embrace.
The pair not only passed the bar, they were part of the Top 10.
Calam topped the list at 89.05 percent, while Momongan took 7th place at 87.80 percent.
Calam and Momonga both graduated from the University of San Carlos.
Calam in an interview with GMA News' Balitanghali on Wednesday revealed that she is the first in their family to pass the Bar.
Sharing a bit of her personal life, Calam told anchor Connie Sison that she is engaged to be married, making 2017 an incredibly lucky year.
A total of 3,747 out of the 6,344 examinees passed the test or a passing rate of 59.06 percent, Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco said on Wednesday.
