Lea Salonga posts an adorable video of daughter Nicole kneeling to give Angela Bassett the 'Wakanda Forever' salute

On Instagram, proud mom Lea Salonga posted a video showing her adorable daughter Nicole charming the hell out of American actress Angela Bassett, aka Wakanda’s Queen Mother.

After catching a performance of Once on this Island, Angela made her way to the backstage, perhaps to to do what the likes of Robert de Niro and Lea Michele have done: Greet the cast for a wonderful show.

But backstage, Nicole put on her show. She greeted Angela by kneeling down and giving her “Wakanda Forever” salute in front of the queen. Everybody of course cheered in surprise and amusement.

 

So THIS happened tonight after the show!!! My daughter knelt to Wakanda’s Queen Mother!!! Thank you for your kindness, @im.angelabassett!!! We were so honored by your presence!!! #WakandaForever

When she stood up, Nicole was hugged by the queen, who also gave her a kiss on the forehead.

Angela clearly had fun at the backstage. On Instagram, she posted a group photo, which included Nicole — who was still doing the "Wakanda Forever" salute.

 

And then... I got to hang out with the cast of @onceislandbway !
