Ryan Cayabyab has launched a series of Facebook live concerts featuring various local artists amid the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

Dubbed as "Bayanihan Musikahan," the project aims to raise funds for the vulnerable sectors of society affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The renowned musician and composer went live on Facebook on Wednesday to give a sneak peek to what the audience can expect from the performances, which starts on Monday.

Cayabyab took requests from the netizens and played "Tuwing Umuulan" and "Araw-Gabi" among other songs.

Artists who have committed to the project include Aiza Seguerra, Lea Salonga, Christian Bautista, Ebe Dancel, Agot Isidro, Chito Miranda, Nyoy Volante, Yael Yuzon, Karylle, Raymond Lauchengco, and The Company.

Other local artists had similar ideas to entertain netizens from the comfort of their homes, dropping covers in their social media accounts.

Gabbi Garcia and Julie Anne San Jose also dropped their own covers of "Good Grace" by Hillsong United and "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King, respectively.

Among international artists, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin began the #TogetherAtHome initiative and held a mini gig on Instagram live.
