Pasig woman returns food coupon, P200 cash in extra aid

A woman from Pasig City returned the extra food coupons she received from the local government.

In a Twitter post, Mayor Vico Sotto shared the details of the incident and lauded the honesty of his constituent.

"May nanay na nakakuha ng sobrang 400 pesos na Food Coupons natin. Nagamit niya yung 200 sa talipapa, pero nakonsensiya," the mayor said.

She gave back the coupon the following day and replaced the P200 she already spent with cash.

"Mas marami pa rin talaga ang tapat at may mabuting puso," Sotto said.

Pasig City distributed P400-worth of food coupons for every public school student amid the enhanced community quarantine.

Meanwhile, four beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) also returned the extra aid they received.

Some of them already claimed aid from another program, while some already had their spouses receive their share. —MGP, GMA News
