This 2-month-old baby is Bataan's youngest COVID-19 survivor

A two-month old baby from Bataan has finally been discharged from the hospital after a month-long battle with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The baby is considered to be the "youngest COVID-19 survivor in Bataan," said medical technologist Marigae Krista Monilla.

The infant is also marking its second month of life tomorrow.

After testing positive with the disease, the baby was confined in the Mariveles District Hospital for over a month.

In the video posted by Monilla, the baby could be seen in the arms of his guardian as hospital staff celebrated his exit.

Monilla shared that the baby's recovery removed all the stress and exhaustion they experienced.

Just on Wednesday, a 16-day old baby became the country's youngest COVID-19 survivor.

According to Bataan governor Albert Garcia, Bataan now has 88 confirmed COVID-19 cases. A total of 2,095 residents have been tested, and 1,151 tested negative. Two patients have recovered, while four have died.

The country has a total of 8,928 confirmed COVID-19 cases with over 602 deaths and 1,124 recoveries as of Saturday.
