Miss Universe Philippines trends on Twitter moments after its opening

Miss Universe Philippines on Sunday morning trended on Twitter, moments after its telecast on GMA-7. 

Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez had an explosive opening number while the hopefuls took the stage in their glittery dresses for their introductory walk.

The country's first Miss Universe pageant is hosted by KC Montero.

Included in the list of judges for the Miss Universe finals are Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Miss Universe 2012 1st runner up Janine Tugonon, Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner up Ariella Arida, Congressman Eric Yap, and Baguio First Lady Arlene Magalong.

Other judges include Jackie Aquino, Samuel Salonga Versoza Jr., Raymond delos Santos,  Venus Navalta and Arthur Peña.

On Twitter, netizens have been tweeting about the event cheering on for their bets.
