Philippines among top countries tweeting about gaming

The Philippines is among the top countries talking about gaming on Twitter.

According to the platform’s latest report

, the Philippines is the top 7th country tweeting about gaming in the first half of 2022, following Japan, US, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Brazil. India, UK, and Mexico round off the list.

Twitter said there were approximately 1.5 billion gaming tweets, a 36% increase from the same period in 2021 “driven by big-time conversations around game releases like ‘Elden Ring,’ esports leagues like Call of Duty League, Valorant Champions Tour, and Professional Gamers League Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and global gaming events like Xbox Showcase, Playstation’s State of Play and Summer Game Fest.”

“Genshin Impact” retained its title from 2021 as the most tweeted about video game, while “Wordle” took the No. 2 spot. – RC, GMA News
