Musicals least sexy music genre, according to poll

Musicals are not sexy, according to a survey conducted by Symphony Hall Birmingham.

The poll asked over 2,000 Brits what music they preferred to listen to with their lovers come time for some intimate bedroom activity. The participants were made to choose from a list of 19 music genres, which included heavy metal, country, classical, religious, and yes, musicals.

The participants made their choices… and musicals ended up dead last.

You read that right. Even Cannibal Corpse, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Beethoven have more sex appeal than La La Land.

Unsurprisingly, 16% of the respondents selected R&B as their favored bedroom music—making it the poll’s sexiest genre of music.

Additionally, the poll discovered that 43% of the respondents listen to music during lovemaking itself. This is, however, something younger people are more likely to do.

Sixty percent of the respondents between 18 and 24 years old listen to music while they’re getting intimate. In contrast, only 38% of those over 55 do so.

Apparently, marital status also has an influence on this practice. Sixty-two percent of unmarried lovers enjoy listening to music during sexy time, while only 28% of those who’ve already tied the knot do so.

Here are the results of the poll for the most popular musical genres for the bedroom:
