True Faith original member Ferdie Marquez dies

Ferdie Marquez, one of the original members of True Faith, has passed away.

His death was confirmed by former bandmate Medwin Marfil in a post on the group's Facebook page on Sunday afternoon.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of (Truefaith original member) Ferdie Marquez’s passing," Marfil wrote.

Marfil saidthat Marquez formed the band with him and Francis Guevarra in 1992, and described his late colleague as a "talented, gifted musician and a caring friend."

"Our most sincerest condolences to Tita Connie and family.  RIP Ferdz. Thank you for sharing your great talent and music with everyone," Marfil added.

True Faith is known for several OPM hits, including "Dahil Ikaw, " Huwag Na Lang Kaya," and "Muntik Nang Maabot Ang Langit." — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/BM, GMA News
