Crayola launches skin tone crayon set called 'Colors of the World'

Nude shades aren't just for adults playing with makeup anymore — now kids can have them, too.

Crayola has unveiled a game-changing crayon set that aims to introduce inclusivity to kids: a set of colors that represents a wide-range of skin tones.

The 32-piece "Colors of the World" set contains 24 specially formulated colors such as "light rose," "medium almond," and "extra deep golden" to name a few.

The set also includes four hair color and four eye color crayons.

In its promotional video, Crayola emphasized that "diversity and inclusion is rooted in the Crayola mission."

"Crayola is for kids, and wants all kids to feel included," it said.

Crayola had partnered with MOB Beauty for the project.

The company's CEO and co-founder Victor Castle said he's been working in the cosmetics industry for over 30 years, and finding someone's right shade has been a goal of his in his whole career.

"This is going to change things, people can identify with themselves in a box of 24 crayons and that's fantastic," he said.
