These penguins visited a Kansas art museum and they loved it

With humans quarantined due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the penguins came out to play.

Three penguins from the Kansas City Zoo were allowed to wander around the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas and they took their time to gaze at Baroque and Impressionist paintings.

In fact, museum executive director and CEO Julian Zugazagotia said that the animals really liked the works of Caravaggio (compared those of Monet).

"These are Peruvian penguins so we were speaking in Spanish and they really appreciated art history," he said.

"We were happy to visit and the penguins absolutely loved it," he added.

Kansas City in Missouri, United States is easing lockdown measures but guidelines remain in place to ensure proper social distancing in order to combat COVID-19.
