See the world through Chito Vijandre and Ricky Toledo’s new book ‘The Art of Window, Display and Design’

If the view outside your window has been a godsend to you during the past few months of staying home, perhaps it’s time to explore the breathtaking world of artful window displays.

You can now do just that from the safety of your home with Filipino design duo Chito Vijandre and Ricky Toledo’s new book, “The Art of Window, Display, and Design.”

The creative minds behind Firma and AC+632 have given us a catalogue of both their famous windows from their lifestyle and furnishing stores as well as their interiors and fashion production.

The book contains a lavish illustration program with over 500 images, as well as tips for lighting design, illustration, and installation for materials ranging from paper, wood, fabric, and even computer printouts.

The authors also shared design inspirations and a deeply-felt travelogue that gives the readers an overview of their love for history and art of world culture.

“Under lockdown, windows are the perfect outlet for your creative energy,” said Chito.

“It’s a trip to many cultures, places and personalities which broadens one’s world,” Ricky added. “I think through the windows, the book teaches you to explore the world further.”

“The Art of Window, Display, and Design” (P550) will be available in major bookstores and select art galleries in late March.
