Miss Supranational Philippines 2021 Dindi Pajares is making sure all eyes are on her for the pageant's national costume competition!

In an Instagram post on Friday, Miss Supranational Philippines shared a glimpse of Dindi's outstanding and glamorous mascota costume. They called it, "Poderosa" or powerful lady.

In the photos, Dindi is seen wearing a golden headpiece as she wore a vibrant gown adorned with crystals beads and antique small bells "originally supplied by a group of indigenous women."

With a trail of overlapping tassels to look to fans and feathers, the red dress is also matched with strong bulky sleeves that hopes to "express that women just like feathers are soft yet through this they can soar and fly." She held a matching red fan, adorned with feathers, too.

The beautiful costume is known as a mascota, a traditional wear of the Zamboanguen?as popularly worn in the 1900s.

The mascota is composed of six elements: the corpin?o (silk or cotton slip), candongga (panuelo), renggue (upper garment), sobre falda (tapis), cola (the skirt), and enaguas (inner lining of the skirt).

Designed by Zamboanguen?o Erich Min?oza, the "forceful" costume is said to have been inspired by women empowerment and hopes to "command attention, communicate possibilities" and make everyone "stop, look, and listen."

The post added, "The designer believes fashion has often been stigmatized as frivolous and antithetical to feminism; this exhibition is showing the opposite – 'challenging stereotypes of what feminism can be.'"

Earlier this week, Dindi entered the Top 10 Supra Fan vote.

Dindi flew to Poland on August 4 to represent the Philippines at the 2021 Miss Supranational pageant, set to happen on August 22, 2 a.m. (Philippine time). —LA, GMA News
