If you have it, flaunt it—that seems to be the message of designers Mark Bumgarner and Pia Gladys Perey when they unveiled their summer holiday collections at the Mother's Day Fashion Brunch at Sofitel Philippine Plaza's Spiral restaurant last May 12.
The two designers indeed showed that sexy is back in their feminine, eye-catching dresses and gowns for the modern mom.
The draped goddess gowns of Pia Gladys Perey
Manila-based designer Perey showed her partiality to draping and the Grecian goddess look in clingy one-shoulder gowns with thigh-high slits, and dresses accentuating one's curves, all in solid jewel colors.
The limited ready-to-wear collection is under Perey's PGP label which first debuted at the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week back in 2007. Since then, Perey, who hails from Tagaytay, has showcased her clothes at Style Fashion Week at The Vibiana in Los Angeles, Miami International Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week.
Think Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian—these two women have worn PGP, as have Carrie Underwood and Eva Longoria—and the clothes shown at the Spiral show would clearly suit these stylish women.

Perey said her main inspiration for the Homage to Mom Holiday-Summer collection is ageless fashion—that's “embracing the elegance and shape of a woman at any age. Whether you're a young or matured mom, you will confident in PGP.”

Mark Bumgarner 's Homage to Mom-Summer Collection, on the other hand, clearly belies his sporty background.
A professional race car driver, Bumgarner found himself designing for the runway when he was asked to style for a denim fashion show.

Mark Bumgarner's strong, shimmery style
For the May 12 show at Spiral, he presented figure-hugging gowns and dresses with gold, silver, and black shimmer, which came across as strong and fearless, perfect for the modern woman ready for anything.
