Everything aligned for beauty queen Rachel Peters on Sunday night, the first day of May, which was also her first day as the new Binibining Pilipinas Universe.

The 25-year-old event organizer from Camarines Sur impressed in her striking orange evening gown and her pageant-perfect answer to the timely question "If you were invited to speak (at the ASEAN Summit), what would your message have been to the leaders?"

Peters' call for unity resonated and it eventually won her the crown.
