Mariel de Leon dedicates Bb. Pilipinas win to ‘nanay and tatay’

If you're wondering what kept Mariel De Leon strong in her quest to win a Binibining Pilipinas crown, it's none other than the two most important human beings in her life — her parents, Sandy Andolong and Christopher de Leon.

The newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas International shared an Instagram photo a family photo, along with a caption thanking her mom and dad for their support.

Mariel said knowing that she's able to make them smile gives her bliss.

 

'The most beautiful thing in this world is to see your parents smiling, and knowing that you're the reason behind that smile.' ?? Thank you for supporting me through whatever I want to pursue in life. Thank you for teaching me to always be kind, respectful, and hard working. And of course for always telling me to pray and to thank God for everything and everyone in my life. I am so blessed to have such loving, generous, and supportive parents. I love you, Nanay and Tatay!

In the same post, she expressed how grateful she is to be blessed with parents who have kept her feet planted on the ground and who taught her to "be kind, respectful, and hardworking."
