After placing in the Top 15 of the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 and bagging the Manila Bulletin Readers Choice Award, Christagale Borja is setting her sights on a new prize.
The 26-year-old is representing the Philippines in the Top Model of the World competition, scheduled to culminate on July 14 in El Gouna, a resort town on Egypt's Red Sea.
Borja was born in Western Samar but moved with her family to the UK at the age of 14, where she graduated with honors from St. Mary’s University in London.
A Filipina has yet to win the competition, although Michelle De Leon carried the title in 2006 after winner Natália Guimarães from Brazil resigned.
