Pinay Miss Universe queens congratulate Catriona
Filipinas who previously wore the Miss Universe crown were proud to greet and welcome Catriona Gray to the club!
"From the very very beginning, she already was outstanding. It was not a, you know, luck or anything. She was really outstanding," Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz said in Lhar Santiago's report on GMA's 24 Oras on Monday.
Catriona Gray is the fourth Filipina to be hailed as Miss Universe.
"I want her to enjoy every second. Sleep five hours a day so that you can enjoy the rest of the 19 hours. Photographs and videos, keep it all and it will last you a lifetime. But people always think Miss Universe is only one year. It's not. It's a lifetime talaga. It's a big change and you can really make a difference" Diaz added.
Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, on the other hand, posted a collage of the photos of all the Filipina Miss Universe, including the newest member with the caption: "And now we are 4! Congratulations Catriona! You inspire us all."
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, for her part, posted her photo with the newly crowned Catriona in her Instagram account.
"Now you've conquered the Universe! This is just the beginning. Congratulations, Miss Universe 2018... You have made us all proud," Pia said. — Dona Magsino/BAP, GMA News
