PHL’s Karen Gallman picks up another special award in 47th Miss Intercontinental

Filipino-Australian beauty queen Karen Gallman on Wednesday continued to wow in the 47th Miss Intercontinental pageant.

Karen was given the Body Beautiful award, a special prize from the pageant’s sponsor.

Delegates from Belarus and Paraguay were also recognized for their stunning performance on the stage.

Belarus’ Chernoshej Karolina received the prize for modeling the night’s best evening gown, while Paraguay’s Gabriela Soley was named Best in Swimsuit.

Soley this week additionally won a sponsored award in a separate event in Batangas.

Over 80 candidates walked the runway in gowns designed by Filipino couturiers, followed by a dazzling walk in swimsuit.

They will return to the Grand Ballroom of Okada on Thursday for another evening gown competition.

Japan is the host country of the 47th Miss Intercontinental pageant. The Philippines has provided a venue for the organization, as preparations for the Olympic Games in 2020 is underway in Japan.

The 47th Miss Intercontinental finals night will be held on January 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena. — BAP, GMA News
