Maynilad, Meralco, Globe, SM among PHL winners in 6th Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards


Different institutions from the Philippines won 104 awards including 17 gold awards in the sixth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, an awards program recognizing innovation in business in the region.

The total of 104 Stevie awards—17 golds, 46 silvers and 41 bronzes—were given to 27 different organizations in the Philippines.

Gold Stevie winners from the Philippines are the following organizations:

  • DMCI Homes, Eastern Communications (for Innovation in Business Information or Application Websites)
  • Globe Telecom, Inc. (for Innovation in Cross-Media Marketing)
  • Light Rail Manila Corporation (for the Innovation in Technology Development > Public Enterprise)
  • Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) (for the Innovative Use of Technology in Human Resources  - All Other Industries)
  • Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (for Innovation in Energy & Sustainability)
  • MediXserve Philippines (Most Innovative Startup of the Year - Business Product Industries and Most Innovative Tech Startup of the Year - Services)
  • Megaworld Foundation, Inc. (Award for Excellence in Innovation in Non-Profit Organizations or NGOs - Up to 100 Employees)
  • Philippines Urban Living Solutions Inc. (Award for Innovation in Living, Learning, and Working Environments)
  • Resorts World Manila (Award for Innovation in Other Types of Publications)
  • SM MART, INC., SM Supermalls (Award for Innovation in Social Media Marketing)
  • SM Supermalls (For Innovation in Corporate Website and Innovation in Entertainment Apps)
  • The EON Group (Most Innovative Public Relations Agency of the Year)
  • ABS-CBN Corporation (Award for Innovation in Entertainment Websites)
  • Union Bank of the Philippines (Award for the Innovative Use of Technology in Customer Service - Financial Services Industries)

The awards program recognized organizations in 16 markets like Australia, China, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the U.S.A., and Vietnam.

Judges consider more than 900 nominations for innovative achievements in the region this year classified in categories such as Award for Excellence in Innovation in Products & Services, Award for Innovative Management, and Award for Innovation in Corporate Websites and more.

On May 31, Stevie winners are set to receive their awards at a gala banquet at the InterContinental Hotel in Singapore.
