57-year-old blind guitarist who plays music to support his family gets a new house

Tatay Angelo Sotto is blind and only had a small hut in Aglipay, Quirino to call home.

But despite his condition, the 57-year-old supports his family by playing music and singing his heart out everyday. He was not only a guitarist and singer, he was a song-writer, too.

According to a report on GMA News' "Unang Balita," this was Tatay Sotto's way of earning money for his wife and five kids.

He also did hard labor in an effort to earn more income.

The 1st Quirino Provincial Mobile Force Company took notice of Sotto's dedication and built him a new home through their "Shelter for Unity and Love" program.

Meanwhile in Gerona Tarlac, a student was able to graduate high school, thanks to a policeman who apprehended her at a checkpoint, the report added.

Eunie Subaran and her sibling were riding a motorcycle on their way to a graduation ceremony when they were flagged by a policeman. Apart from both of them being minors, they were also not wearing helmets.

The policeman learned that Subaran was not even going to participate in the graduation ceremony due to some unsettled fees.

Learning this, the policeman decided to accompany her to school and paid off the P4,000 that Subaran needed to graduate instead.

In the end, Subaran was able to graduate with honors and considered the incident a "blessing in disguise."
