Deadline for UPCMCAA’s 4th Glory Awards nominations on September 12, 2020

The submission of nominations for the 4th Glory Awards will close on Friday, September 12, according to the University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication Alumni Association (UPCMCAA).

The UPCMCAA has begun accepting nominations for alumni in the broadcasting, film, journalism, and communications research spheres and allied fields such as marketing communications, social advocacy, public relations, publishing, and the performing arts.

“The 4th annual Glory Awards will push through this year to honor the outstanding work and impact of UPCMC alumni,” the UPCMCAA said in a statement.

Those nominating must prove the nominee's track record of excellence as well as describe his or her work’s impact in 800 words or fewer.

TV and stage writer-director Florencio "Floy" Quintos and 2019 senatorial aspirant Samira Gutoc were among the UP alumni honored at the 2019 Glory Awards for their excellence in their respective fields.

Other awardees were Nona Andaya-Castillo (social advocacy), Carolyn Arguillas (journalism), and Jeffrey Jeturian (film and visual communication). 

Past Kapuso recipients of the Glory Award were GMA Network’s Senior Vice President for News and Public Affairs Marissa Flores, GMA Network’s senior vice president and entertainment group head Lilybeth Rasonable, and GMA First Vice President for News Grace Dela Peña-Reyes— Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
