Vietnamese students design helmet that helps health workers eat, wipe sweat

Three Vietnamese students have designed a special helmet to help health workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a report on “Unang Balita,” the “Vihelm” is equipped with a built-in glove feature that one can use to scratch or wipe drops of sweat from their face.

The helmet has a cavity inside which can contain food so one can use to eat or drink without having to expose the face.

It also has an air-purifying respirator feature designed to protect the respiratory system and prevent viral infections.

The final version of the Vihelm is set for mass production, the report added.

The young inventors and their innovative creation have also been recognized by a Canadian award-giving body. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
