Vicki Belo says two Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidates ‘broke rules’
Vicki Belo, one of the judges at the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 coronation night, has said two of the candidates "broke the rules."
In her Instagram stories published hours before the event on Thursday, Belo could be seen wearing a long orange gown just outside the venue at Hennan Resort in Panglao, Bohol.
After mentioning the strict protocols in place for the pageant, she said, "nako I have chismis for you. Two candidates broke the rules kanina and had their makeup done somewhere else but I cannot tell you who they are."
The celebrity doctor added: "But that's not good, breaking rules."
At the end of the night, Cebu City candidate Beatrice Gomez made history when she became the first openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
Following Beatrice is Miss Taguig Katrina Dimaranan as Miss Universe Philippines Tourism, Miss Cavite Victoria Velasquez Vincent as Miss Universe Philippines Charity, Miss Pangasinan Maureen Wroblewitz as 1st runner-up, and Miss Cebu Province Steffi Rose Aberasturi as 2nd runner-up.
