Beatrice Gomez reveals she considered joining pageants again after Catriona Gray won Miss Universe 2018

Beatrice Luigi Gomez revealed that she considered joining pageants again after Catriona Gray won Miss Universe in 2018.

On her Instagram stories, Beatrice shared a photo beside Catriona Gray and wrote a touching message for her fellow beauty queen.

"Happy birthday Queen, Catriona! I remember the day you won Miss Universe 2018, I don’t really watch pageants but I watched your performance and I was in tears as people screamed when they announced you as the winner," she wrote.

At that moment, Beatrice said she "had a random thought of wanting to join pageants again."

"Summer of 2019, I enrolled in a workshop, submitted my application for Bb. Cebu in July and by Jan of 2020 I was crowned as the winner and you were there," she said.

"I never really thought I’d be joining a prestigious national pageant such as MUPH and eventually represent the country at MU like you did."

In December Beatrice settled for a Top 5 finish at the 70th Miss Universe pageant, where India’s Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the new queen. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
