Even though she's long past it, LJ Reyes still remembers the struggles of being a single mom to her son Ethan Akio.
In an Instagram post, the she said that her experience raising Aki alone made her a strong woman.
My journey as a single mom before was tough yet full of learnings and love! I think if there was one thing that made me a strong woman, it would be that. Yung tipong pagod ka na pero kelangan mong kumilos para sa anak mo. Yung tipong umiiyak ka na pero kelangan nakangiti ka sa harap ng anak mo. Yung durog ka na pero kelangan buo ka para sa anak mo. Pero buti nalang mapagmahal ang pamilya ko at naging katulong ko talaga Sya na nasa Itaas???????? . She recalled feeling so tired and crushed, to the point where she'd be crying, but she still had to be put together for her son.
"Yung tipong pagod ka na pero kelangan mong kumilos para sa anak mo. Yung tipong umiiyak ka na pero kelangan nakangiti ka sa harap ng anak mo. Yung durog ka na pero kelangan buo ka para sa anak mo," LJ said.
The actress said that her supportive family helped her go through it.
LJ is currently in a relationship with Paolo Contis, and the two stars have a child together, Baby Summer.
