OFW holds raffle for netizens to entertain himself while in quarantine

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has been holding raffle competitions on social media to entertain himself while in quarantine.

According Raffy Tima's report for "24 Oras," King Jeromh Ilagan has been in quarantine for nearly three months amid the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

To deal with the isolation, he has been occupying himself by posting on social media. Sometimes he sings, sometimes he gives away prizes like Willie Revillame.

"Parang Wil of Fortune, parang ganun po ang ating gagawing game," he said in one of his videos. "Basta kada isang hulang salita kayo po ay mananalo ng isang kilong bigas na dinorado."

A cruise ship worker, Ilagan was already quarantined for 20 days in the United States but he was put on quarantine again when he arrived in the Philippines on April 7.

He said he had undergone the swab test on May 11, but he hasn't gotten the results until now.

"Ayon po sa OWWA, eh nahalo daw po sa ibang OFW 'yung aking result o kaya 'yung pangalan ko, hindi ko po sure," Ilagan said.

"Tapos ang sabi po ay isa-swab test daw po ako ulit pero wala pa rin po hanggang ngayon," he added.

Ilagan said he has been missing his family, as they haven't been together for three years.

"Ang dami pong araw na nasayang na dapat nakabonding ko na po yung family ko," he said.

His family, especially his father, have been worried for him as well amid the threat of COVID-19.

"Minsan po tumatawag di ko na lang sinasagot 'yung tawag kasi syempre naiiyak ako pag nakakausap ko 'yung papa ko," he said. —MGP, GMA News
