Sandy Andolong pays tribute to mother-in-law Lilia Dizon: 'Thank you mommy for loving me as your own'

Christopher de Leon's mom, the veteran actress Lilia Dizon, passed away on Monday morning.

On Instagram, Christopher's wife Sandy, paid tribute to her mother-in-law, thanking her for "loving me as your own."

"Thank you for being so loving, caring and protective towards your grandchildren," Sandy wrote, sharing a series of photos of Lilia.

"We will surely miss you so much but we are comforted by the fact that you are now in a better place," she added.

"You will forever stay in my heart. Love you so mommy," Sandy ended her note.

Lilia Dizon starred in the movies in the '50s. She married LVN Pictures actor Gil de Leon, with whom she has three children: Pinky de Leon, Christopher de Leon and Melissa de Leon.

She has two daughters with her second husband Antonio Abad, Corrie and Toni, who confirmed the unfortunate news on her Facebook account.
