Beirut blast terrorizes wedding photo shoot

A serene wedding photo shoot in Beirut, Lebanon was interrupted by a massive explosion that rocked the country’s capital on Tuesday.

As seen in a video from Mahmoud Nakib, a bride was smiling and posing for the camera on a quiet street when a deafening blast suddenly interrupted the session.

The shockwave was so strong it sent her veil, dress and bouquet flailing.

Glass was heard breaking in the background.

The cameraman momentarily lost focus on the bride, but she is later seen being escorted to safety inside a building.

At least a hundred people in Beirut were killed and nearly 4,000 were injured following the explosions at the capital’s port area on Tuesday.

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Hasan Diab has declared Wednesday a day of mourning, and President Michel Aoun called for "urgent" defense council talks.

The explosions also come as Lebanon awaits the verdict on Friday on the 2005 murder of former Lebanese premier Rafic Hariri, killed in a huge truck bomb attack. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
