KC Concepcion pens sweet birthday message for dad Gabby: 'I’m so glad we get this time to stay close'

She might be all grown up, but KC Concepcion is still daddy's girl.

On Instagram, the actress penned a heartwarming message for her father Gabby, who just turned 56 years old.

"Happy happy birthday to my father full of heart and passion, who watches out for me and keeps me alert and active like a big brother would," she wrote.

"You’ve always believed in me, thank you for always holding my hand through things when I need to learn something new. Sometimes people overestimate my independence but I’ll always need a man like you by my side who can teach me things no one else would," she added.

She also expressed happiness that the two of them now have time to "stay close," and shared that Gabby teases her about "liking fancy things."

"You always keep me down to earth, taking me outdoors- barefoot whenever possible- just enjoying the simplest joys in life!!! I love you, to the handsomest of them all! Papa happy birthday!!!" she said.

KC is Gabby's daughter with Sharon Cuneta, who is now married to Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

For Father's Day this year, KC paid tribute to both her fathers.

In her post about Gabby, she wrote, "The past may not have been ideal nor perfect but what counts is what we do to makeup for lost time today, and in the future. And he surely does!" —JCB, GMA News
