Richard Gomez pens birthday message for Lucy Torres: 'I will never grow tired of saying how much I love you'

Lucy Torres is usually the one with the breathtaking essays about her love story with Richard Gomez, but this time around, her husband is giving her a run for her money.

On his Facebook page, the Ormoc Mayor dedicated a romantic post for Lucy as she turns 46 on Friday, recalling how he proposed marriage to her on the eve of her birthday in 1997.

"You were that beautiful young lady with a very infectious laugh, a face with eyes I can stare at the whole day, those delicate hands I love to touch and hold and lips I can kiss forever," he wrote.

"Looking back now everything seems just like yesterday, and yes, time flies so fast. Here we are celebrating your bday with our small family, you, me and our 20 year old Juliana (who can make us laugh the whole day rolling on the floor)," he added.

Richard said he "learned so much" from Lucy in their 22 years of marriage.

"You’ve taught me how to choose my battles, how to approach situations and how to appreciate the small things around us," he said. "I will never grow tired of saying how much I love you and how much I want to grow old with you."

Calling her his "Superwoman," he expressed pride in everything Lucy has achieved.

He also shared what he wanted them to do once the pandemic is over.

"I want us to travel again to far away places and spend days without worrying about things to do at home.  Walk to distant  places without knowing where to go and just get lost in some town somewhere, sit in a cafe and just keep on dreaming, laugh, stare at each other and make plans on what bigger things we can do together," he said.
