Glaiza De Castro says fiancé David Rainey asked for her parents' blessing before proposal

Glaiza De Castro's fiancé David Rainey made sure to ask for her parents' blessing before popping the question last week.

In Lhar Santiago's report for "24 Oras," the Kapuso actress shared how David prepared for his proposal shortly after her arrival in his home country of Ireland.

David kept his plans a surprise to his own parents, but he let Glaiza's mom and dad know so he could formally ask for her hand in marriage.

Glaiza said she wasn't expect anything when David invited her for breakfast in one of his favorite places, but she did notice that her boyfriend was acting a little different.

"And then finally tinanong niya, 'Can I ask you something?'" she continued.

Glaiza shared that she and David plan to hold their wedding in the Philippines, but the ceremony will not yet happen in 2021.

"We're still taking our time, hindi naman kami masyadong nagmamadali," she said.

As for their wedding plans, the actress said they will keep it simple.

"It's definitely not gonna be a grand wedding. Basta nandun lahat ng mga importanteng tao, friends and family, 'yun na 'yun," she said. —MGP, GMA News
