Man’s genitals allegedly bitten by former lover

A man’s genitals were allegedly bitten hard by a former lover after the two had an argument on New Year in Makato, Aklan.

According to a “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” episode on Sunday, *Adan was having drinks with Ronilo Reyes when his former lover *Eba showed up. (*Not their real names)

After having an argument, the former couple went inside to continue their discussion. Soon after, however, Eba emerged from the room with blood dripping from her mouth.

“’Yung bibig niya tsaka ngipin niya may mga dugo na. Akala ko nga sinapak siya ng lalaki,” Ronilo said.

("Her mouth and teeth were covered in blood. I thought he punched her.")

The friend was later shocked to see Adan, who came out of the room with his genitals bleeding. Ronilo said he didn’t know what to do.

“Pagkagat niya, tuklap balat, nasugatan nga, ang daming dugo. ‘Tulungan mo ’ko, Mil’,” said Adan, recalling what happened and how he asked his friend’s help.

("When she bit me, the skin came off. It was wounded. There was so much blood. ‘Help me, Mil’.")

Since the incident, he said it had become difficult for him to walk. And because he couldn’t afford the medicines, he resorted to using guava leaves to tend to his wounds.

Although he has yet to fully recover, Adan continued to ride his tricycle to make a living.

According to Adan, he met Eba, a fish vendor, in 2013.

“Noong unang sama, mga 3 years naman kaming masaya. Mahal ko siya sobra.”

("When we first got together, we were happy for three years. I love her so much.")

However, after some years together, Eba became jealous, said Adan. In a month, he said they would fight because she would accuse him of seeing another woman.

The fights kept recurring until one time, it became physical.

“Nagda-drive ako ng motor, dito siya sa likod. Gusto niya doon kami matulog sa tinutulugan namin dati. Ang sabi ko sa kanya uuwi ako. Kinagat niya ang likod ko, nasiko ko siya, sumigaw at sabi niya, ‘saklolo!’,” Adan said.

("I was driving the motorcycle. She was behind me. She wanted us to sleep where we used to before. I said I’m going home. She bit my back. I accidentally hit her with my elbow. She cried, ‘help!’")

Someone then filed a case against him. When he was being arrested, she revealed that it was her who filed the case.

“Nagpiyansa ako, 5,000. Kinabukasan dun kami sa korte. Inurong niya ang demanda na hindi niya ituloy, ayun nagsama na kami uli (I paid a Php 5,000-bail. The next day we went to court. She withdrew the complaint, then we got back together),” Adan said.

After being reunited, however, Adan said Eba continued to hurt him.

Last October, after eight years, Adan decided to leave Eba.

According to Ronilo, however, Eba refused to break up with him.

Things escalated when Eba visited Adan and Ronilo on Jan. 1.

Adan said Eba wanted him to return the tricycle he was using to its owner. He refused, saying if he did he wouldn’t have income and she would just laugh at him.

“Nagseselos talaga na pinagpapapalit daw siya sa amo ng tricycle. Bakit daw hindi siya umuuwi,” Ronilo said.

("She was jealous, saying she was being replaced with the owner of the tricycle. She asked why Adan wasn’t coming home anymore.")

“Pumupunta dito. Minsan nga, sinabi niya sa asawa ko na, ‘Ilang babae na ba nadala niya rito?’”

("She’d go here. Sometimes she’d even ask my wife, ‘How many women has Adan brought here?’")

Because of their argument over the tricycle, Adan said they decided to go inside the room to talk.

“Maya-maya, sinabunutan niya ako, inumpog ako sa pader. Tapos yung mga pagkain namin pinagsisisipa niya,” Adan said.

("She then pulled my hair, banged my head against the wall. She started kicking away, messing up our food.")

“Tapos ako, nagalit, parang hinawakan ko siya sa buhok. Tapos bigla niya akong hinubaran.”

("I got mad and I grabbed her hair. Then she suddenly took off my clothes.")

It was then, said Adan, that she bit him.

Eba fled immediately while Adan was brought to the hospital. When he got out, he filed a report at the police.

Amid the pandemic, many women have been reported to suffer from domestic violence. Studies have shown that some men also go through the same experience.

To prevent this crime, a bill has been passed to widen the scope of the Republic Act No. 9262 or Violence Against Women And Their Children and include violence against men and those in same-sex relationships.

Learning about Adan’s case, the KMJS team brought him to the doctor for further treatment and gave him a supply of medicines.

Meanwhile, 69-year-old Emma, the tricycle owner, had clarified that she had no romantic relationship with Adan.

“Kini-clear ko lang na wala kaming relasyon ng lalaki na iyan, maski na kung sino pa. Andiyan iyong mga apo ko na magsasabi na wala kaming relasyon. Kung saan pa ako nagtanda, pinagselosan pa ako?”

("I have no relationship with that man, or any man for that matter. My grandchildren can testify that we don’t have a relationship. Just as I turned old that’s when I became a cause for jealousy?")

KMJS tried to reach out to Eba but no statement was given.

Adan couldn’t help but still be angry for what happened.

“Hindi na siguro ’yung patawarin, uulitin pa rin niya eh (I don’t think I can forgive her because I know she’ll just do it again),” he said.

“Ang hiling ko hindi na niya ako istorbohin at saka hindi ko man siya istorbohin. Bahala siya sa buhay niya. Huwag niya ako pakialaman, hindi ko rin siya pakikialaman.”

("My only wish is for her not to bother me anymore. She can do whatever she wants.")
