Charlene Gonzalez becomes emotional as son Andres flies to Spain for college

Charlene Gonzalez could not help but become emotional now that her son, Andres, is heading off to college.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the former beauty queen said Andres is flying to Spain after deciding to attend college on campus despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Charlene also shared several photos of her son, showing just how much she would miss him.

"Ang hirap mag-let go for any mom but going off to college will be a wonderful experience for all children. As parents, we provided them wings, but now it's their turn to fly," she wrote.

Her husband, Aga Muhlach, left a sad face emoji on her post to express how he felt about their son's departure.

"We love you Andres and thank you for always being so kind and for continuously making us proud. Your dad, mama and sister love you so much," Charlene said.

"Have the best time of your life in Spain and continue to make lasting memories, that you will cherish forever," she added.

Meanwhile, Andres' twin sister Atasha is studying at a university in the United Kingdom through online classes. She will head off to campus next school year.
