Marco Alcaraz and Lara Quigaman celebrate 10th anniversary as husband and wife

Marco Alcaraz and Lara Quigaman recently celebrated their 10th anniversary as husband and wife!

The couple got married in a civil ceremony in Vancouver, Canada on January 1, 2011 and later had a Christian wedding on July 8, 2012.

In a video on their YouTube channel, Marco and Lara looked back on their married life and gave some tips on how they kept their relationship strong through the years.

"Ang magandang pagsasama ng mag-asawa ay ang pagbibigay ng mas maraming oras sa pakikinig kesa sa pagsasalita," the actor said on Instagram.

"Kaya pag may sinabi ang asawa mo 'Yes Boss' lang ang sagot mo... Walang ibang sagot kung hindi 'yes boss,'" he quipped.

Aside from taking the time to listen to each other, Lara said sometimes it is good to be vocal about what you want instead of making your spouse guess your desires.

The former beauty queen also said finding alone time to bond as a couple and not just taking care of the kids all the time is important.

The couple agreed that maintaining respect for each other even during arguments is the key to a healthy relationship.

"Kailangan alam n'yo sa sarili nyo na magkakampi kayo, hindi kayo magkaaway," Lara said.

"Yes nag-aaway kayo, pero at the end of the day, sa isang side lang kayo. You are both fighting for each other and for your marriage," she added.
