Andrea Torres admits she's not yet ready for a new relationship

Andrea Torres is not ready to enter a new relationship.

"Usually kasi kapag ganito, binibigyan ko talaga ng time yung sarili ko pano maging mag-isa. Para kapag dumating yung next all out ulit," Andrea explained in an interview on "The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS)."

[Usually after a breakup, I give myself time to learn how to be alone. So when the next one arrives, I am ready to give it all out.]

Last November, Andrea and Derek Ramsay surprised the world when they confirmed they had indeed broken up after dating for more than one year.

When the show asked her to rate how painful the breakup was for her, the Kapuso actress declined to give her rating.

"Di ko mabibigyan ng level, kasi kapag nagmahal ka ng totoo, kasama yun 'di ba?" she said. "Pero ngayon happy na." And when asked to rate her happiness, she estimated it at around 8.5.

[I can't measure it in level, because pain comes with loving right?]

When Andrea was  asked for advice on how to quickly move on, she said, "Mag-focus ka sa sarili mo. Gumawa ka ng mga bagay na nagpapasaya sa 'yo. 'Tsaka mga bagay na hindi mo pa nata-try dati."

[Focus on yourself, do things that make you have and do things that you haven't tried before.]

"I-discover mo pa sarili mo," she added. [Discover yourself].

While Andrea is relishing being single, Derek is now happily in a relationship with Ellen Adarna. And when Tekla asked Andrea if she ever felt jealous over her ex-boyfriend's new relationship, she simply answered, "wala." [None]

Answering Tekla, Andrea said there were plenty of people right now asking her how she is.

Earlier this month, Sef Cadayona also guested on TBATS where he was asked if he'd like to court Andrea again. 

Sef hilariously answered and joked and even referred to a popular line from a romcom movie that Derek Ramsay appeared in, but later on said in a more serious note that he couldn't really say but he would consider reconnecting. "Happy naman kami ngayon as friends," he said.

"At tsaka nakakapagkwentuhan kami pa-minsan minsan. Okay na kami doon," he added.

[We talk sometimes, and we're okay with that.]

After being shown the clip of the said interview, Andrea confirmed that she is in fact friends with Sef as of the moment.

"May time kasi na matagal kaming di nag-usap pero ngayon ok," she said.

[There was a time we didn't talk but we're OK now.]

Last November, Andrea and Derek recently broke off their relationship after dating for over a year. The two confirmed their separation back in November, with Derek insisting there was "no third party."

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph last February, Derek and Ellen Adarna admitted that they have been together for a month. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
