Dingdong and Marian's secret to keeping their marriage strong? Being intentional with time spent together

With his new tech start-up Dingdong PH, saying Dingdong Dantes has become busier than ever. 

So how does he keep his marriage with his wife Marian Rivera strong despite juggling so many responsibilities?

"inisiguro namin na pagdating ng alas singko, drop everything," Dingdong told GMA News Online in an interview for the official launch of Dingdong PH.

"Close the laptop let’s just be together. Kwentuhan tayong dalawa sa labas, wala munang mga kids," he added.

"I think malaking bagay 'yun kasi may tendency din tayo na mag-overwork eh, lalo na ngayon na nagwo-work from home," he said.

For Dingdong, being given the opportunity to work from home is a big thing.

"I’ve been on the road. Hindi ako mapirmi sa isang lugar for three days straight kasi laging may trabaho ako simula nung nagsimula ako nung 1998. So para sa 'kin, ang laking bagay nung dito ako nakapirmi," he said.

Dingdong said spending time together has to be intentional.

"I really treasure that time and not just with her but also with the kids. Kaya malaking bagay din 'yung time management sa trabaho. Hindi puwedeng puro trabaho. Hindi rin puwedeng wala, parang dapat may harmony yung dalawang yun, so kailangan mong sadyain," he said.

Marian and Dingdong have been married for over six years. They have two children together, Zia and Ziggy who recently turned two years old.

On top of his showbiz career, Dingdong is also managing the Yes Pinoy Foundation and recently launched his tech-solutions start-up Dingdong PH. 

Marian is equally busy, handling her flower store Flora Vida on top of her showbiz duties and being a mom. — LA, GMA News
