Geneva Cruz: ‘COVID-19 took my 2 favorite people away only 10 days apart’

Geneva Cruz is in mourning after another member of her family succumbs to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

On Thursday, Geneva posted on Instagram a series of family photos and shared that her aunt had just passed away.

“Our beloved Tita Flor passed away this morning,” she wrote.

According to the singer, “most of [her] favorite memories” happened at her Aunt Flor’s house and during summer vacations with her.

“Family was her life. She loved her friends. She loved music and dancing. She was full of life, love, and so much laughter,” she said.

The sad news came a week after Geneva’s mother died also because of the disease.

“Complications from [COVID-19] took my two favorite people away only 10 days apart. I don’t know what to feel right now,” said Geneva.

“We love you, Tita Flor. Somehow I could imagine you and mama laughing while dancing in heaven. Rest In Paradise.” – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
