Amber Heard reveals she now has a daughter

Amber Heard is now a mom!

On Friday, the “Aquaman” actress announced that she has welcomed her first child, a daughter named Oonagh Paige Heard born on April 8, 2021.

“She’s the beginning of the rest of my life,” Heard said in the caption.

Although Heard did not specify whether she welcomed her child through surrogacy, she mentioned that she wanted to have a child “on her own terms.”

“I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms,” she said. “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.”

“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib," she added.

The surprise baby announcement came at the heels of Heard's legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Heard was petitioned to be removed from “Aquaman 2” after Depp claimed that he suffered abuse from her hands, contradicting her allegations that he was a wife beater.

Depp, on the other hand, was asked to resign from "Fantastic Beasts" after he lost a libel case in Britain against the tabloid The Sun that called him a "wife beater."
