Bea Alonzo gives advice on how to move on from a heartbreak

Bea Alonzo has said that one of the ways to move on from a heartbreak is to just take it “one day at a time.”

“I surrounded myself with people I trust, people who had been there for me for so many years, especially my family,” she said on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”

"Ang pamilya ko talaga ang parang pumulot ng pira-pirasong nahulog," she continued.

[It was really my family who helped pick up the broken pieces of my heart.]

Bea admits that up to now, she cannot say she's able to forgive. "Sometimes, iniisip ko meron bang mali sa akin na hindi ko kaya pang magpatawad? Bakit ganito? Parang naiinis pa rin ako? Pero sabi nga ni mama, kaniya-kaniyang proseso siya,” she said.

[Sometimes, I wonder if there’s something wrong with me because I can’t forgive. Why am I like this? I still get annoyed, right? But as mama said, it’s a different process for everyone.]

“You don’t have to beat yourself up for not being able to forgive kasi proseso mo 'yan eh,” Bea said.

What’s important is “you’re focusing on yourself, and that [now, I know] I am deserving of love, I deserve to be loved and I am enough.”

Bea had a very public breakup with Gerald Anderson in 2019 that Julia Barretto denied being involved in.

When he confirmed his relationship with Julia two years later in March 2021, Bea took to Instagram to cheekily toast to time "as the ultimate truth teller."

Bea recently signed with the Kapuso Network and welcomed veteran journalist Jessica Soho in her Zambales farm where they had an in-depth interview. — Kaela Malig/RC/LA, GMA News
