Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto now have a teenage son as their eldest child Kiel turns 13 years old.

On Instagram, Kristine dedicated a message for Kiel saying that having him in their lives was not an accident.

"Walang aksidente kay God. Hindi aksidente na binigay ka niya sa amin.. na ikaw ang naging daan sa matinding training namin bilang magulang," Kristine wrote.

"Thank you for always trying to be better and for understanding our shortcomings," she added.

Kristine described Kiel as "a good and obedient son."

"God has a great plan for your life, always obey and honor Him in everything you do," she said.

"Happy 13th birthday, Kiel! We, your family, are just here for you.. We are proud of you. Your siblings are all looking up to you and are all cheering you on," she added.

"They adore you so much, Kuya. Please lead them well. We love you!"

Oyo also dedicated a post for his son on his Instagram account.

"I thank the Lord for 13 years of your life here on earth. You are such a blessing to us Kiel," he wrote.

"I may not be perfect but always remember that Dada loves you so much!" he added.

Oyo said he prayed that as his son goes through his teenage years "you will seek the Lord all the days of your life."

"I love you Kiel! Happy birthday! Let’s create more good memories! I’m excited for you," he ended his note.

Oyo and Kristine got married in January 2011. Kiel is their adopted son.

Aside from Kiel they have three other sons namely, Kaleb, Marvin, and Vittorio Isaac who they welcomed this month; and one daughter named Ondrea. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
