Daughter gifts her dad with brand new car to pay him back for his sacrifices

A woman has gifted her dad with a brand new car to pay him back for all the sacrifices he made for their family.

In Mark Salazar's report on "24 Oras," Rading Dawinan turned 63 in March and his only daughter, Kimsen, had a special surprise for him on his birthday.

According to Kimsen, she decided to give her dad a car because he had to sell their first family car in order to buy a laptop for Kimsen.

"Wala talaga kong maisip na uutangan na pambili ng laptop kaya nag-decide ako ibenta ko na lang kotse ko, magco-commute na lang ako sabi kong ganun," Mang Rading recalled.

Kimsen said she had long been aiming to save up for a car as soon as she graduated and started working. Growing up, she had seen her dad do everything to save some money in order to provide for their family.

"'Yung kasabihan nga po nila na parang isusubo mo na lang ibibigay mo pa sa anak mo, super ganun po siya," she said about her father. "Kahit anong way basta para sa akin and para sa mommy ko, sa asawa niya, parang lahat talaga gagawin niya.

She said she hopes to make more happy memories with her family and give what they want, such traveling for vacation.

Mang Rading, meanwhile, said he had no idea about his daughter's plans and thought their family would only have a simple get-together.

Kimsen said she was speechless after presenting her dad the car and a money cake, as her emotions got the better of her.

"Nakita ko na lang umiiyak na kami, so ayun, 'yung iyak naman na 'yun is tears of joy," she said.
