Neri Naig shares hilarious moments while on date with Chito Miranda in Tagaytay

Apparently, going on a date with Chito Miranda will have your sides hurting from too much laughter!

On Thursday, Neri Naig recalled some hilarious moments she and her husband, Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito, had when they went on a date at Antonio’s Restaurant in Tagaytay City.

Neri wrote that while they were on the way, they had to go back home because Chito was wearing shorts, which wasn’t allowed at the restaurant. Chito, however, said he bought the shorts for PHP5,000.

“Baka pasado na raw ’yun, haha!” she said.

[He said maybe they’ll allow it, haha!]

After changing his clothes, the couple finally arrived and was seated inside the restaurant. 

Hungry and waiting for their food, they were served half a piece of bread each.

“Sinabi ni Chito sa akin, ‘bakit hati tayo sa bread? Ang mahal-mahal ng resto, ba’t nagtitipid daw sa bread?’ Haha! Tawang-tawa talaga ako sa kakengkoyan ng asawa ko,” said Neri.

[Chito asked me, ‘why are we splitting the bread? This restaurant is so expensive, why are they cutting down on the bread?’ Haha! I’m laughing so hard because my husband is funny.]

When it’s time to settle to bill, Neri said Chito asked the staff: “‘Pwede installment? Mga six months?’”

[Can I pay in installments? For six months?]

At that point there was nothing left to do except laugh some more. “Napahalakhak talaga ako, pati ’yung staff sa kabilang table natawa na lang. Haaaaaay, Chito! Classic ka talaga!”

[I laughed out loud, and even the staff on the other table just laughed. Haaaaaay, Chito! You’re a classic!]

Neri said it was a good thing that she found him extremely funny and she wasn’t embarrassed by his punchlines.

She jokingly added, “baka next time banned na tayo sa mga restos ni Chef Tony dahil sa kajologan natin sa mga restos niya.”

[We might get banned next time from Chef Tony’s restaurants because of our jokes.]

Neri and Chito, who tied the knot in 2014, welcomed their second baby, Cash, earlier this month. Their eldest child Miggy was born in 2016. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
